RN/LPN - Family Medicine

Moab Regional Hospital (MRH) is seeking qualified candidates for one full-time nurse (RN or LPN) for our Family Medicine Clinic. The nurse will provide direct patient care in a physician office setting, using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of MRH. This position provides great variety with direct patient care in the medical family practice setting. Emphasis will be on acute care visits, occupational health, women’s health, well-child appointments and immunizations, and sports physicals. This is a great opportunity for a nurse that enjoys the rapid pace of a thriving family practice clinic and the excitement and variety of nursing skills that come along with it. Anticipated schedule is Monday – Thursday, approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. RN pay range is $31-$39/hour DOE. LPN pay range is $24-$30/hour DOE.

Job requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Utah or compact state RN or LPN licensure; graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Knowledge of infection control principles and patient safety techniques. 
  • Knowledge of a variety of pharmacological agents used in patient treatments and prevention of adverse reactions to medications/treatments.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, and listening) with providers, co-workers, patients, and patient families.
  • High level of self-motivation and the ability be comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Comfortable with computers and basic word processing, data entry and electronic medical records.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain within two months of hire.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast paced work environment.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to problem solve independently.
  • Able to lift/move up to 20 lbs. without assistance and lift/move weights beyond 20 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to work in a confidential manner.
  • Reliable and timely with work schedule.
  • Flexible and willing to accept other duties as assigned
