Moab Regional Hospital is seeking a Clinical Informatics Nurse to join our hospital team. This role is designed for a registered nurse who is highly comfortable with technology of all types particularly with electronic medical records (EMR) and has a passion for ensuring quality patient care through improved technological functionality. This role will be responsible to provide EMR training to new hires and on-going training to clinical and non-clinical staff as well as providers. MRH uses several EMRs and clinical information systems (CISs). This position will be expected to learn the ins and outs of these systems and become a “super user” so they can provide support to staff and providers through configuration and troubleshooting.
In addition, the Clinical Informatics Nurse will be instrumental in the design and implementation of MRH’s next EMR. Expected design, understanding of workflows and prototyping of the new EMR will commence late 2021 and will continue throughout 2022. Deployment of the new EMR is expected sometime late 2022 through 2023. Further, the Clinical Informatics Nurse will work with the MRH financial teams to improve the hospital’s revenue cycle process.
This is a full-time (40 hours/week), year-round position. Schedule is generally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am -5:00 pm; some flexibility is needed to work an occasional evening, early morning, and/or weekend, depending on departmental needs.
